We recently completed a 3-hour electro fishing session to remove some of the abundant small bass from the lake.  We harvested 649 bass that were 14 inches or smaller during this time.  Many fish were in the 4-12” size range.  Just as a reminder, anglers need to harvest small bass from the lake in order to keep the population in balance.  The yearly goal for harvest is 1,800 bass that are 14 inches or smaller.  So we have removed about 1/3 of them.  Encourage the anglers to harvest more of the small bass when they are fishing, if at all possible.  Even if the harvest quota isn’t reached, getting close to it will show the results that are needed.
